Hi all,

I have been working on my Duster for the last couple summers slowly doing body work and getting all the parts lined up. The '74 is a slant 6 & manual 3 on the floor and I'm building a 360 to put into it. I have a 4 speed out of a '75 Duster and the bellhousing also. I plan on buying a Schrumaker swap kit to use when its time to transplant the motor. My big question is this....the 360 is out of a '78 truck with a rear sump pan. I know I need to change the pan and pick up tube to get the motor into place. I picked up a car pan off e-bay and when I went to put it on it hit the oil pump. The oil pump sets down a total of 4.75 in from the block pan rail. After several e-mails to Jegs I was told a Milodon oil pan & pick-up tube for a 2 wheel drive truck would be the right one and also clear all the steering/k-member issues. Now before I spend close to $175 does anyone know if this is what I need? Thanks for any help!
