I filled up today with the cheap stuff @ $4.43/gal.
All in all, it's just the oil companies getting what they can get out of it.
It pisses me off when they report "Record Profits" since it seems so IN MY FACE that one of the reasons was me forced to pay too damn much for gas.
Yeah MVR we get a check...but we pay more for everything up here...woo hoo,,,what a trade off. Dont matter now, im leaving for my homestead in Missouri in 2 weeks. Good bye Alaska , its been a cold 41 years...LOL

They sell a HUGE amount of the stuff. What bothers me (and the fact that the media won't put a # on it) is how much the government makes off it. The oil companies make about $0.05 per gallon. The government makes about $0.47 per gallon.

How can they make record profits at .05 per gallon??? :toothy1:
That's just a song and dance. They all are ef'in us...
I went and put 20 bucks in the car last night and I only got a quarter tank. I looked and I didn't even get a full 5 gallons. It was something like 4.966. I paid $4.02 and it wasn't even premium. I have to downgrade to the mid level. This is just so upsetting. There was a time not too long ago that I could fill up for $20. I just don't understand why I have to work a half hour at minimum wage for a gallon of gas. Sorry thanks for listening!:banghead::banghead::banghead::banghead::banghead::banghead::banghead:
Ok so this is the answer: Chevy built the VOLT right??? It's the answer to OUR supposed needs,It costs Chevy $60,000 a car to build,We pay $40,000 for the car,Where does the other $20,000 come from???????????? Anyone want to guess????? Government that's right it comes from a broken government--Now that's a slap in our faces!!!!!
My son bought a Chevy Cruze Eco last year, on my recommendation. Too bad Mopar has nothing comparable. It is fairly spacious inside, 40 mpg hwy, reasonable price. Chevy sold 1M worldwide. Who says the U.S. can't compete? I am glad the Feds saved them. Trust free markets and the government you voted for (or at least who the majority did). Trust in our youth. We don't need to regress, which many presidential candidates appear to be suggesting. I read there are new non-hybrids in the pipeline that will get >45 mpg hwy.No, the real slap in the face is the the Chevy Cruze ECO gets better mileage than a Volt and costs half as much.......
Which one would you buy?
Not to mention the higher electric bill you'll be paying to charge up that POS Volt every night. I guess the envrio-weenies forgot that electricity is generated from coal-fired plants. So much for being "green". Dumb ***** don't realize perpetual motion is a myth. No, the real slap in the face is the the Chevy Cruze ECO gets better mileage than a Volt and costs half as much.......
Chevy Cruze ECO
28city/42hwy
$19,325
Chevy Volt (when off it's very limited electric range)
35city/40hwy
$39,145
Which one would you buy?
Looked at a Chevy Volt last week & the Sticker was over $44k. $44K buys a lot of fuel. I'll stick to my 2.0 liter Jetta. But Yeah it's ridiculous How high the fuel prices are getting. I can't imagine having to commute to work every day.yah gas probably will go down like everyone can go out and buy a chevy volt anyway to the economy.he needs to think on that one.
