How stock car racing began, running moonshine from Dawsonville down Hwy 9 to Atlanta, termed "Thunder Road", and finally "Awesome Bill from Dawsonville". I don't think Dodge was big in running moonshine. Today, the center of stock car engineering is Charlotte, NC.
Where is Dawson County’s Thunder Road?
