Guess on gears in a '74 318 Duster with 8-1/4 rear

LOL... things don't fall apart calling for a makeover just because you loosened 10 bolts that hold a cover on. You could pop the rear cover off in 10 minutes and actually see the gear ratio, then just silicone it and put it back, add back some fresh grease. Done through and through in a 1/2 hour. :D
 
My 74 Dart with 318 and 904 with 8.25 had open 2.45 gears
 
I don't know man, you pull that rear diff cover and springs will fly across the room......
 
Just kidding, go for it. the gear ratio should be stamped on the pinion gear I'm thinking.

Or another way to tell is, if it is revving at 3000 rpm at like 60-65 its a 3:91
