Hardware Store Grade 8 Head Bolts

But at those Edelbrocks the LA or Magnum ones? The latter don't have oil flowing through the heads.

As far as the different bolts.....The LA Edelbrocks take 2 long bolts on each head, not just one as on the standard LA head. IIRC, the Magnum Edelbrocks take all the same length long bolts.

I'm going with the Home Depot grade 8s for now
I had to go to two different Home Depots to get all 5 bolts

engine is bone stock 360 bottom end
bone stock 318 heads up top
no tractor pulls or muddin in this truck
but I do need to be able to drive it two blocks to the auto repair inspection place so I can get it inspected in order for me to keep it registered.

I've plopped the heads on and torqued all 20 bolts to 50 ft lbs thus far
I need to go back for the second go round and torque them to 85/95 ft lbs

Home Depot bolts went in just fine
torqued up to 95ish lbs

Putting on the lifter rails reusing the old bolts and the 3rd bolt I tried to torque down, snapped
back to home depot looking for grade 8 6/16 bolts bu they only had grade 5 (which is what the stockers are)

Now I have to get that other half bolt out of t here and start again
I'll get to it in the morning

Dunno what you are torquing those rocker shaft bolts to, but its only supposed to be 200-225 inch/pounds (or about 17 ft/lbs).
