Around here the comp XE 262 and 268 are very popular for street machines.
this thread kinda reminds me of the guys that go hunting and fishing around here and the first thing they load into the truck is four cases of beer.

How about this old MP stick, P4529959,497/497,
Dur @50 244.8/244.8, 108 cl.
Was thinking of using this in my teen that has a 340 rotating assembly?
Crane H-278-2 467/494 lift. This is a good powerful street cam. Not sure if still around but better than comp junk.Kind of reviving a old thread here but curious about what cam to go with a pretty stock 360. The motor came out of a 1979 Chrysler Newport. It is going my international short bed with a dodge Dakota frame. The 360 now has a edelbrock dual plane aluminum intake, 600CFM Holley vacuum secondary carb, headers, backed by a 904 transmission, and 3.55 sure grip axle. Currently has a stock torque convertor but if need be I can change that before I put it in. This is a street truck and will never be raced but I want to have some power. I am looking for a cam that I don't have to change a lot with. If I have to change springs that is fine but I don't want to have to do head work. Any help is appreciated.
I run the same cam. It runs nice and sounds awesome! Many here don't like it. But I think its great. I run it in a 360 dart sport. 3.91's out back. 3400-3600 FTI 9.5" converter. The 340 in my dart has the .508 / 292 purpleshaft in it. Runs great with a 3800 convertor and 4.10 gears. Very fun.
