Finally had my 360 back from the shop:

All the typical machine work, 587 heads with 2.02 valves and KB 191's:

Looking at a MP 528 cam, any thoughts

Looks very nice! Man those cylinders are pretty. As far as the cam, that's a decent grind for a moderate street build. More info on the intended use, rear gear, intake, carb, converter, etc may change my mind though. :D

how much to clean and bore there drop in pistons im doine same build

im having him zero in cam also

I like the 528 cam. It's a great street grind and plenty of torque. It will idle down pretty low and still pull hard to 6500+ depending on build.

Are the heads ported? If so, have they been flow tested?

What is the compression on it? The .528 is an awesome cam - but I'm thinking you will need something larger to run pump fuel.

OldmanRick - probably going into a 70 Barracuda 4 speed, 355's to 391's

Wis - did the entire setup for less than 15 - budget build (heads and all)

Cracked - agree, what target range I was looking at too

Rumble - No, heads are not ported, budget. When they installed the 2.02 they cut a lot of meat out though, and had the springs matched to the cam.

Estimating compression to be a about 11 1/2, everything is decked, 191 pistons, open heads, thick Felpro gasket.

Now have to clay valve to piston - is this an issue in small blocks with cams this size?
