well when people suspect a fraud seller then it should be made known to a moderator just in case......right after I did that post I contacted straitlinespeed to put it on his radar just in case.

If you waste your time with a local sheriff, all he's gonna get is a slap on the wrist, if that.

What he is doing is a federal crime, and should be treated as such. A local sheriff can't go after him for internet fraud, mail fraud etc, the feds need to do it.

the only problem I see is that if anyone sent money as a gift then he technically does not have your because you gave it him.

I am not sure a prosecutor can not press the issue since a defense lawyer would probably use that small detail in court and get it dismissed.

Only if the money was sent to him as a legitimate transaction will he fraudulently have your money and owe you something in return.

Like a dumbass I did it as a gift and never again.....like others have mentioned that in a big way we are also cheating the system by sending it as a gift. I have sent other sellers as friends and family because they really are friends but I slipped up on this one and wasn't thinking and its a 25 dollar mistake for me.

yup, I had one person contact me here after I posted a want ad
he asked me to email him and guess what...his paypal was dormant so he asked me to use a money order instead
I forward the conversation to Joey and after a short investigation the guy was banned

He is a fireman locally there somewhere, volunteer, I think...

Maybe find out where and give the fire chief a call to let him know what kind of person he really is. I don't think that fire departments like their employees to be doing this kind of stuff...

That's what I was thinking at first but if they are truly connected, all the more reason for
the FBI to get involved and bypass the local authorities.

It's actually the assistant chief's relative.

Could he just be innocently letting Justin use his account or is he in on it, not enough info to call yet...

Justin could have given him the old "my account is dormant" excuse to let him do a few transactions... But he should be more careful to let people do that.
