rod length question

i have found a diamond piston that will work for my 440/500 stroker build. std rod length is 6.760 but on the listing for the piston it says 6.768. diamond part # 52421

I share that opinion. New build? Once the perameters are set and the machinist understands what you want and the part particulars he has, the machinist will set everything up as needed/desired

It's .008 difference? If so, deck an extra .008 off.
