I think now I have a good strong foundation to get my car into the low 11"s or high 10's
440 +030
All machined surfaces
Forged crank - stock stroke, stock crank.
Icon forged pistons
Forged H beam Scat rods
Victor heads. May do a little porting :)
Cam selection and springs not chosen yet....
Lifters and pushrods not chosen yet..
M1 intake
4500 dominator
Hooker fenderwell headers
MSD ignition
Hemi 4 speed
Dana S60 4.30
Dr diff rear disc brakes
Competition engineering shocks

If I can't get the power to the ground I may go with SS springs and 6 cylinder torsion bars.

FYI.........The Victor heads with the machined max wedge openings do not flow any more than the standard port openings. From maybe 10 years ago, here are some OOTB air flows.......one Edelbrock RPM and two standard port Victors..........

Lift............RPM...........Victor..........Victor

.100...........73..............68..............68
.200..........148............141............129
.300..........209............204............190
.400..........254............246.............243
.500..........276............277.............290
.600..........287............305.............315

For a 509 style cam I'd rather have RPM heads.

Thanks IQ52.
Maybe I can open them up with a decent port Job etc?
I haven't decided which cam yet. The engine guy said a solid roller, but I'm not sold on the idea yet.

440 almost ready for collection.
I ended up going with the original 383 heads 516, and rebuilding them. This way I can use them later if I want to put the car back to factory as she is all date correct stuff.
Also went with a hydraulic lunatic cam. Will update pics when I get the engine back home.
