What are 8 3/4 going for now a days ?

being narrowed hurts the amount of guys that will be interested in it. but someone will want it. standard abody ones are going anywhere between $500 to $1200. at thos prices its probably cheaper to just have a c body axle cut down..
 
I scored a 3:23 Sure Grip pumpkin from a friend for a $100 bill. There are deals out there.

got it from a local junk yard (and when i say local, i mean i smiled the entire 5 hour round trip)
the place had listed a barracuda they were parting on craigslist and i had called them to see what rear end it had
the guy said it was a 7 1/4 but hold on...when he came back he told me the owner had a 8 3/4 out of a 68 dart he was going to build, never got round to it and had been sitting on a pallet in the barn for ever, he was ready to let go

i told the wife, grab your coat, were going on a road trip
