What is this spliced into speedo cable

That was part of some economy crap they came up with. It would turn on a dash lamp at a certain mph. One year only if my memory serves.
Basic 63 inch speedo cable will delete it. Other owners have found those added wire terminals where that in cable unit had been already been deleted, causing more confusion/questions.

It's for emissions & you can just eliminate it....

That is why I had to get two speedo cables I mentioned Fred.
One 80 inch for the A500 on my car and one to delete that POS from Stephanie's 72.

its gone now. The 80 inch cable from MrMoparts took care of that. Took all of 10mins to switch that over. Cool thing, the torsion bar hole provided a nice route to the hookup on the A500.
