I think if you tally all of your receipts that would give you an idea to what it's worth. for the caliber of car you have a certified appraiser is the only way to go. Make sure the insurance gives you a few appraiser that they use. Read the ins document very closely. They have "replacement value" and "appraised value" I'm thinking more like $60G plus

If its worth 55k to ya, I'd insure it for at least that much.

to its prewreck/fire state or total it.

i'd go with the nice round figure of $50k
that would cover the parts, labor, as well as your time and effort into the project.
not only that, having seen the car up close that body is 100% cherry. i think you told me you got it in california. you dont find '68 darts like that anymore. zero rust.
rarely do you see cars like that. just the original body before all the work you put into it is worth quite a bit...
