I have no idea what the long term effect of what the heat will have on the vacuum hose, but I did put it right over boiling water for 1/2 hour and the hose was fine. I sure the steam is hotter than what comes out of the vents.

Just thought I'd share a quick tip as I'm doing my wiper seals on one of my Dusters.
