I can see where it would be good for convertibles. But their color selection isn't too good.

Great looking Models. Does the red R/T Charger have working headlights?

Im looking for advice on how to do a vinyl top... I have a 69 Dart kit im gonna do up like the buggy, but the buggy has a vinyl, kit doesnt.. I have heard that covering the top with masking tape and then painting it gives it the 'textured vinyl top' look.. my thing is wont the tape eventually start to curl and peel??

apply a satin or semi gloss paint with a brush or q tip(roll it) that will leave a textured finish , i do not recomend tape b/c temp change could shrink the tape
be sure to post that kit when completed

I was figuring the tape might shirink or peel.. what do you do for the 'seams' of the vinyl top? I was on that yellow Dart you did, you have the seams on the roof.. what did you use to make those?

Would a old white handkerchief cut to fit work like a vinyl top?

years ago at kb toystore , neverbuilt it though, thought a cop duster, demon or dart sport would look strange, it is an excellant kit to donate the nose to a 68 kit you showed if you want a newer dart hardtop build

I was thinking leaving the cop stuff off and do a 340 Dart Sport.

any clue where to find some rallye wheels? lol.. my buggy has rallyes, but the model kit doesnt... trying to make it as close to the real thing as possible

Oh and any particular pin striping you use, and where do you get that chrome tape? I figured I would use that to make the vinyl top trip (or simply use a chrome paint and fine tipped brush)

it will be awhile i have to go to garage

lol you dont have to rush.. I havent even started the kit yet LOL .. still aquiring stuff before I start.. there is this place someone on here once referred me to, called bandit resins.. I have to order the stock flat hood for my Dart and the duster dual snorkel hood scoop as my Dart will have that scoop.. its gonna be 4-6 weeks before that stuff even arrives.. So.. we have plenty of time LOL .. I just really appreciate you even taking the time to.. Thats very cool of you

dont waist the money on the flat hood, i have built the kit of my green dart with a flat hood, use a fine grade of wet sand paper , with joy dish detergent and the sand paper sand out the bulged til flat, keep an eye on the plastic it will be razor thin when you get it flat you do not want to burn completely through the plastic, then primer wetsand the primer with 1500 paper and paint. i would like the contact # for that supplier or website adress.
