Paint for my '74 Charger

I have my 1974 Charger SE. It was originally my grandparents car(bought it in 1975, when it was a year old), and now it is mine! My plans for the car are putting a completely rebuilt 318 in there. The car will be a daily driver as well.

After doing all body and paint on my '67 Dart, I've decided that I'm going to let a pro do the body/paint/metal work on my Charger. I have to decide what color I want to go with though. Going back to the original gold would look awesome i'm sure. Or going with a sublime or some other sort of green that stands out.

Any ideas for paint on this thing??

i think the green is beat to death myself , the gold is way better looking in my opinion , but , its your ride........
 
Have you considered Yellow? Had a friend in high school with a 73' with the tan interior. Had 10" Cragers rear and 6" front. Sat a little high by today's standards, but was a very pretty car.

I do too! I really want something different that will stick out. But I guess I haven't seen many gold chargers out there anyways. If I have the guy do something with some metal flake in it, I think that the gold could turn out looking amazing! Plus, the interior will still remain the original color for now(gold) so it wont' look too mismatched.

haven't really considered it yet. so many options out there though. havent seen a yellow SE before. i'm sure it'd look nice though
 
Not sure the gray will work with the int. And i am a Green lover...lol. These pics aren't very big, but....

I like the yellow, always have, but I cant imagine myself actually driving the car that color..Green is my fav. color as well.. I own all sorts of green things.. Green with black accents make anything look cool. I'm not too worried about the matching interior for now, because I will just end up re-doing the interior eventually. I just gotta prioritize and get the body/engine /rust repair done first

And a touch of chrome :D...........Good luck with whatever you choose and keep us posted. No matter the color, it gonna look great. The Charger has always been my favorite B body.

So if I go gold with a black vinyl top, what do you guys think about other black accents?

I love blacked out hoods. But maybe not on the Charger. What about a stripe on the rear? here's a pic of the custom one I have on my dart. What do you guys think about tail stripes on Chargers? They never came from the factory this way right?
