Can you believe this?

Wow, that's disturbing.

LET'S NOT TURN THIS POLITICAL.

This is something all should know.

All should know? Not sure I follow your reasoning. All should know what? Who holds a permit, who owns a firearm or how foia can be used by the media ? My statement is not meant as a confrontation but seeking clarification.

Still think Big Brother isn't watching? Noticed that ownership concentration increases the closer you get to NYC. Wonder why.

All of us that hold permits should know this, I was totally unaware of this. It SHOULD NOT be public knowledge.

I would have thought my comment saying "that's disturbing" would have clarified.

Back in 96' when NC enacted CCPs I was one of the first to get one. Later that year our local news rag had an article titled "Packing Heat" that listed everyone in the county that had gotten a CCP - just because they could. Needless to say I sent them a letter letting them know that I was not happy and stopped my subscription as did many others. Apparently this is part of the freedom of info act.

It should be part of the privacy act.

Here in the peoples republic of Illinois, the attorney general has been pushing the Illinois state police for a list of foid holders. That doesnt mean we have a firearm just that we have the card. The ISP commander has refused all requests and orders for that info for this exact reason. He doesn't want a database for criminals to use as a shopping list.

well I like the sign that says this house patroled by Smith N Wesson 6 nights a week
you pick what six !!!

I always liked the sign that said "---> my neighbor does not believe in owning guns. But I do"

With information like this it makes it easier for criminals to target homes with weapons with the intent on stealing the weapons. I guess things are easier in Oklahoma now with the new open carry laws.

That is why a gun safe is part of gun ownership....

Stupid malicious invasion of privacy done in order to compromise the safety of gun owners intentionally and fan the flames of negative gun related politics and news.

Pieces of shi*.

Yep. That pretty much sums up how I feel about it.

They should be sued for malicious intent.

That is the #1 reason I refuse to get a concealed carry permit.

ya,know in today's world nothing really surprises me anymore. The more advanced we get with technology and computers the more this world gets ruined!

the govmnt wants us all to be drones...do as they say...control us, live like robots, take our cars off the road, etc etc,.

I am sure most if not all on this site love this country.

It is not about disliking this country it is about being saddened by the decay of its stature and ideals.

As I get older and have been observing the political and sociobehavioural environment for 30+ years, I see a persistent slip towards massive invasion of privacy, severely dwindling freedoms, bureaucratic and political legislative interventions into the personal life's of all the Americans who have known a higher standard of free life and are seeing that slowly being diluted by hysterical meanderings of unqualified politicians and the persistent childish ideals of mass stupification.

Happy New Year

Quit your bitchen, dont like this country move to Iran. MerryChristmas

It's not an invasion of privacy. Everyone on that map willingly applied for a permit and by doing so willing accepted the fact that, that permit, would become public record.

If you poke yourself in the eye (to see what it feels like) and end up with a sore eye, don't blame the neighbor.
