Factory steel Rally Wheel application guide??? Does it exist?

There are quite a few variations on these wheels out there...how can we figure out which wheels were available on which cars?

Which is your favorite combo for your A-Body? What "should" your car have come with?

I'm pretty sure my '73 would have come with 14", "nut" style centers, polished rings... Good looking steelies but not my cup o' tea.

I picked my own style when ordering from Wheel Vintiques back in 2000...not sure If I'd pick the same combo if ordering today but they were the ones I liked best at the time.

I went 15x8, dark "sombrero" centers, brushed trim rings. What car would have come with those? I'm 99% sure no A-Body even came with 15s...(and the 15s might have all been 15x7 anyway)

Your car came with either a 14"x5.5" big bolt Rallye wheel or a 14"x4.5" steel wheel with a full wheel cover. And either a F70-14 or E70-14 tire.

No A-body's came with 15's...You would find 15's on an E-body,ect.
Even though I like the sombrero centers better,I thing I would have gone with the later style on yours.

15's look great on A-body's,with a 60 series tire.
I had a 74 Dart that I put 15"x7" factory steelies and a 235/60-15 all around,and it looked tits.

That sounds right about which rally wheel my car would have come with!

My car definitely came with the 14"x4.5" steel wheel (with the full wheel cover). I still have them...or at least a couple of them.

Were rally wheels an expensive option?

In 73...probably about $5-$10 a wheel extra.

I realize that was more expensive back then than it sounds to us....but looking at the two wheel options i cannot believe that anyone wouldnt opt for the Rallys.
