i always find it very interesting what comes out of the glove box on mostly original cars

My 68 dart only had two doucuments of factory/dealer lit.

the rest of it was old recipts ( i really enjoyed an seeing an old conoco recipt from 1972) and a note book.....the note book was cool bcoz of the cover, its obviously very old ...the notebook itself had a retail price of 10 cents...inside the notebook was a log that started on 8/21/69 and went all the way 12/21/90..

there were a few maps of the Denver area which is where i sourced the car from....so it looks like it was in the same area for all its life and the car also has a dealer sticker on the deck lid that supports that.

very interesting piece of history ......whats in your glove box as far as document pertinent to your car?

My 71 swinger was a lot more interesting as far as factory/dealer document than the 68 dart.

the 71 was missing the main operators manual booklet but caontained a lot of other stuff such as an unfilled "change of owner or address card.

the car had a clean air system and A/c so there was a lot of info on those systems.

a fuel usage statement and a word from your chrysler man in Detroit.

also i found the original dealer invoice and a consumer information document

In the glovebox of my 1948 Dodge Truck I found an Insurance card from the original owners. Expired in 1977 (last time it saw the road).

Behind the seat of the same truck, I found a very large hand drawn map of State College PA. It has to be pretty old, considering a lot of places in State College (that have been there as long as I've been alive) are nowhere to be found on the map, and some places on the map no longer exist.

In the dash on my '72 Demon I found an antique Zippo and half a pack of cigarettes. I wasn't brave enough to attempt smoking 30+ year old Marlboros, but the lighter worked (after I refilled it)

In the Mopar Express Dakota:
1 softbound version of the 1988 owners manual
1 ringbound version of the 1988 owners maual
1 small tin box with all the receipts for the build
1 small tin box with a small flathead screwdriver and the tool to remove the plates
1 radio users guide
Registration 2011-2012, registration 2012-2013
Insurance card

In the Indy 500 Dakota:
i'll get back to you on that, the only things that I know for a fact are in there is the certificate of authenticity for the truck and the registration and insurance card

mine is like Rani's

but, actually, there's nothing in it now- I have no glove box liner lol.

I don't have any idea.

It's on the rear lift on top....can't get to it to check.

Great question though!

All of the paperwork form the 1st owner. Window sticker, bill of sale, owners manual and all of the paperwork that they have collected over the years for the car.

That's funny right there!

Yup, the car hooked hard in 2nd (on the early-a cars there is no latch) and the door flew open and all the junk landed on the seat, it was quite the distraction but I stayed in the throttle and went for 3rd till the end. Funny, none of the junk went on the floor, even the timeslips landed there too. Now when at the track, I empty it out before I race :D

Reg and a flash light.
I do have the build sheet, copy of title from org owner, owners manual, a 1973 Dodge Car pamphlet and the 1973 accessories catalog.

What's in my glove box is a 3 magazines full of ammo. 2 hollow points 1 fmj .45 acp.
