He's got a 340 block to start with, that's it from what I can tell. He says that it hasn't been to a machine shop, but isn't in too bad of condition. I will see if we can get the block ready for assembly.
We are going to need a good 340 crank, balancer, 9.0 - 9.5 compression pistons, a good set of new rods (I don't feel secure with used ones for bolt breakage issues), a cam maybe in the 270° - 284° duration range.
I may be able to scrounge up a few parts like timing chain, oil pump, LD340, possibly an oil pan...
I'm not sure which timing chain cover/water pump set up to use until I see what we have to work with. 60's style versus 70's style.
We are going to have to scrounge up some front suspension parts like upper and lower control arms (possibly with sway bar tabs), and an early v-8 center link.
2manymopars has agreed to donate a floor shifter if we need one. Maybe winstoninwisc can help us out with a steering column if we need one.
We may need to call on the members that are stripping some 64 - 66 darts and barracudas for some of the unique parts to those models that will fit his car.

I went up to Shannon's today and took a look at what he has. The body is stripped to sheetmetal and he has some patch panels to install. He has a welder, to nobody needs to bring one. He has to install all front and rear driver ans passenger floor panels.
We are going to need a good floor hump if anyone has one.
Shannon would like to try to use the floor shifter that 2manymopars has agreed to donate. I will have to see if I have a cable shift 904 that is rebuilt, or if we need one to work with the floor shifter.
He is going to need some clean front fenders as his have many patches.
We will need front and rear suspension. Upper control arms, mabe a set of lowers with tabs if possible from an early A.
Will need rear leaf spring brackets and bolts front and rear. If anyone has a fresh set of SS springs 002 & 003.
He needs torsion bars, front brakes. Anybody have a good set of disc brakes to donate. I'm thinking of getting a manual master from Ram Man and going Kelsey Hayes disc in fornt if we can get some.
He only has a Dana Axle housing, already narrowed. No guts. Either finish the dana or does anybody have an 8 3/4 axle with 3.23 to 3.91 gears to throw in.
Will need a radiator.
He only has a good 340 block. It's a 72 vintage, I didn't write down the VIN if anyone needs it maybe Shannon can post it to see if it's anyone's original block. It is in real nice shape. We may be able to get away with a ball hone and a good pressure wash to make sure nothing is blocked.
We will need all other engine parts.
Crank,
Rods
Pistons,
heads,
oil pan
timing chain cover
valve covers
Maybe an old 273/318 motor for "misc" parts donor (oil pan, valve covers, etc...).
I think we should do this in phases. Lets first concentrate on getting the body together and ready for paint.
Then paint it.
Then next is the suspension and brakes.
Then engine and interior.
Then whatever needs next.
He will also need inner panels, headliner with rods, and instrument cluster for a 66 (he has the dash frame for it).
Well that's what I can think of for now. It's a good start.
We will also need volunteers for working on each phase, especially someone who knows body work.
Whose in????
