ebay is an evil at this time of year ....the selection of toys available is huge and so many cool ones to pick from.

I guess im still a little girl at heart because I just had to buy something I saw and thought was soooo cool.......its a remote control truck and trailer (dodge truck to boot) ...I don't like the wheels on the truck but the trailer is pure kewl IMO

I am making up for lost time.....I never had cool toys when I was a small kid because of where I grew up, but now im here in the land of cool stuff and this is awesome :D:D:D:D:D

I'm diggin' the pre-72 4x4.

Everyone here loves toys, Rani. Our cars are our toys.

Didn't you ever hear the saying, "the only difference between men and boys is the price/size of their toys..."

I like the truck and trailer set up.

I'm not too hot for Barbie - she's a sl*t (if you don't believe me, look at all the boyfriends she has available...)

The truck and trailer would have been a lot of fun to play with to get the towing dynamics down at a younger age. That is super cool.

The pre '72 Dodge 4x4 looks like a Dodge Dude. Pretty awesome.

If I were going to buy a new toy (trying hard not to), I'd be buying every single 5" Adventure Time figure and the deluxe Finn with the changing faces.

I have a lot of action figures, though. And they're all in boxes in the closet.

Anybody do the "Stomper 4x4" ??? Schaper Stompers were my favorite toy when I was about 9 until I turned about 12. We raced 'em, had push outs, hill climbs, etc, etc. When I was in 6th grade we got out of school for a stomper pull, can you believe that? My 1st stomper was the red dodge powerwagon. My 2nd was the black dodge. I think we kept energizer in business, LOL! I have a collection of these in a display case now in my house...

I like toys of a different sort.....they're not toys really.....tools....drill presses, metal lathes, Millers, welders, presses, etc......:)

Me too... Argh... Argh.... Argh....

got the truck and trailer in the mail today and its pretty cool.

it is remote controlled not radio controlled so it has a hard wire to the controller which is not the coolest feature in the world.

other downside is that it is not full function ....it only goes forward and pivots in reverse so its like the older style remote control vehicles.

works out to about 1:24 give or take a bit ....I put my JL diecast duster on the trailer just for kicks but the duster is a lot heavier than the supplied charger but the truck still pulls it.

all in all I give it a 5 out of 10 ....if it was more expensive then I would be disappointed but for 16 bucks its cheap fun and I don't regret buying it.....now you all know what I am going to be doing this evening .....and that is playing car tow to the garage with all my diecast cars and models ...probably on the kitchen floor for a few hours :glasses7:

I had the ford bronco, and a toyota pickup. I liked the dodge stepside but could never find it. Later on i painted the bronco yo look like my older brothers real bronco, and gave it to him. I used to 4 wheel em in moms garden lol.

Imagine my surprise when i follow the title across and mix up the blue room thread below it.

I quit buying myself kids toys and started investing in quality tools years ago but I like to see what the cars and trucks the kids are playing with now. I bought myself my first toy in a long time the other day when I bought a 68 Barracuda Hot Wheels car.

kinda juvenile I know .....im supposed to be a grown up here .....but I was at the fabric store Joann's with my mom and found some fabric that would be fun for kids to be used with hotwheels. I don't leave hotwheels or any toy in the packages ...to me what good are they when they are just stored away in some dusty box somewhere.
