I'm starting a new project, I just picked up a 67 Dodge D100 shortbed. It's going to be slammed on bags, with 20" wheels, and a rusty body. What engine would you put in it?

1.) New 6.4 HEMI
2.) Viper 8.2L V10
3.) I'm old school, give me a 440

I want the new HellCat Supercharged engine in my duster SO MUCH!

Haven't seen a V-10 in an old school truck yet, that would be pretty sick if done right.

Viper V10 has been done, New Hemi has been done.

Although the other two would be sweet, the v10 would just be downright awesome!!! Viper gets my vote!

I always thought the Viper V10 should have been a Hemi!
They could have developed it for the V10 Viper then spun off v8 & v6 versions for the truck and car engines. Still don't understand why it isn't a Hemi or have much of anything else in common with the other Mopar engines.

Now a mid engine Hemi would be cool in your truck.

If you have a wallet fat enough that you don't care about the price tag of the build, go with the V10 and throw a ham pater wheel on it to boot! Who's not going to look under the hood and say WOW! That's a lot of work! Lol

id have to swap out the truck intake plenum with the SRT intake. I just can't stand the looks of that resonator. This is a photo of a 6.1 intake.

I voted for the 6.4 thinking, a 440 was offered in them so that's no fun and predictable. The V10 seems like head aches and a lack of after market or even OEM parts. The hemi however they make every day.

BUT! if it was mine,
used Nascar R5P7 for around $8k and find a circle track stick trans, quick change rear end and now you have a jaw dropper! Just my thoughts
