It is done pretty much except for a couple of things mechanically I intend to do before the trip to Mississippi in October. Pulled it out of the garage this afternoon. She drives like a new one. She is going on her maiden voyage tomorrow morning to her first car show over in Madison, Indiana. a great trip to break her in.

Awesome!!

Gotta do something with that jack though.

Sorry pet peave.

Great work but always wonder why people restore undesirable cars. I mean 4 doors.

Wow, that really came together nice. And...in record time! You still have 4 months before Cruisin' the coast!!!!

Great work but always wonder why people restore undesirable cars. I mean 4 doors.

they are only undesirable if no one wants them but in this case and many others ....someone obviously wanted them so that makes them desirable ....to someone.

The jack looks fine to me

Really! Upside down and the spring over the beam? Where is the iron?

Not that you would ever want to use it.

It's just The detail on the rest of the car looks so nice and in place and that looks like an after thought. My opinion only and who cares.

Nice job OP. Sorry if I soiled it.

Haha wow really didn't think it matters that Much not a million dollar car

That looks great. I bet you'll be swarmed when you take it to a show. We don't see very many more doors that nice.

Steve

Looks awesome, over the top, I love a clean nice car regardless of the make or model.

That one is going to cruise sweet, cold AC, reliable slant that runs on any gas.
Drive anywhere.

Its alot different than your big block Duster.

Beautiful job, it looks like brand new!! You should be rightly proud of your work on this car, it really stands out!! Geof

I am also in the same boat as "restore a more door?" Just not worth it crowd.....However that is an awesome job you did there....And it looks like a superb job and one of the nicest, cleanest, 4 door 69 valiants I have seen in awhile...kudos to you....and good luck at the shows!

As the owner of 3 four doors that I personally do find desirable, thank you. I have really enjoyed your posts about this car.

Wow. Nice job! Always good to see one of our brand get restored to such nice detail! Did I say nice job? Well, I can't say it enough.
Now this is just my opinion here, but there is more to the Mopar brand than two doors and high performance muscle cars. Look at the 'big boat' Imperial and Newport, the wagons. All of them.

thanks for the comments guys, well at least most of them. as far as the jack, to be honest I was in a hurry and just stuck it in that way.1969383S, why don't you do me a favor and post a pic of the way it is supposed to be displayed. I really don't know, didn't pay attention and didn't have time to research the proper display. But you can bet I will get it right.

64cudaV8, as far as an undesireable 4 door car goes, what the hell is with you. The reason I did this car is because I promised my wife 30 years ago that I would buy her one and fix it up. I kept my promise. 30 years ago my wife just had gotten her license at the age of 16 and this car, almost identical as to the one she learned to drive on was her first car. It was a gold 69 Valiant, slant 6, 4 door and down even to the rubber floor mats to the one she had back in the day. So when I promise my wife something, I keep it. I found this one after all this time with only 69000 miles on it so I did it for her.

Truthfully, it isn't.........wasn't my cup of tea. I have a 76 Duster and a 73 Dart Sport that we have recently done but I can tell you that this little car is growing on me fast. so to say that 4 door cars aren't desireable is bullshit. Its all in what a person likes. When my wife was in high school in the band, this is the car that her parents gave her. She like it. Pictured below is a pic of my cars. Do you think they are desireable. I am sure there are some guys on here who think not.

The internet is full of negative 4-door & station wagon haters, just ignore them. :)

As with anything it is desirable to one who desires it. It is worth a lot of money to those who desire it and to those with sentiment attached to it. If you love it who cares what the hell anyone else really thinks. It is their opinion and you can just ignore it. I think the car looks great.

Very nice car and I usually don't like stock but I would drive that car any where. I had a Brother-in -Law that could find fault with Mother Theresa.....ignore them.
