I am swapping a 383 into my 70 dart i was reading on here alot of guys using the schumacher Tri Y headers then welding the rest of the exhaust up ,I was wondering about the TTi`s are there any fitment problems ?,I do like TTi`s package - No Welding .

depends what size primaries you want, 1 3/4" yes 2" primaries no to the power steering

is there still mods with the 1-3/4 and what would they be ,the only reason i like the tti`s is because if i bought the whole setup i would not have to take it to a muffler shop to get welded they charge rediculous money here in South Florida

Schumacher . No pain in the *** modifications

I had to sent the bottom 2 tubes so the pitman arm stud would clear. That was after I shimmed it up 1/4 inch on the drivers side and 1/8 on the pass. side.

thats the last thing i want to do after spending almost $900 ,looks like all of the sudden I like the Schumachers better

I don't blame you. Try Maddogs headers.

You can go with the Borgenson power box as it is smaller than a factory power box.

The problem with that post about the video is that the hosts admit that they have the wrong headers. In that post it wrongly slanders tti and the hosts of the video. Dave and Steve.

You might think the tti headers suck. Until you watch it some. Had they had the correct header!!!!!!

I did see that and it makes a huge difference

ive had the 1 3/4 tti since they came out. i had the same issue with pitman arm stud as 5.7hemi. on my 69 dart. when i put the 2" on it, the 1 3/4 went on my 74 duster. i didnt have the pitman arm issue with the newer steering. the tti do clear stock ps box butbit is TIGHT. last year i went with the borgeon box and theres all kinds of room. i think that box might clear 2" headers.

Shameless plug for installing the engine from underneath...if you have the correct tools.

Yes, you should have your alignment checked afterward
Yes, you need to reconnect steering shaft
Yes, you might need to do some other stuff

But:

It's how the factory installed it, you don't have to dork around with installing the headers over the fender and under the car scraping up your knuckles and the finish...you can install the engine almost completely assembled, it's a good excuse to clean up the undercarriage and replace bushings and such while you're in there.

Maybe i should consider the Borgeon box jyust expensive,it would save alot of headache
