Ive decided to see about discs on my 67 cuda. Drums now. I like my sbp rallys so I'll probably keep em, but go wider on the rear. Donor vehicles are not around here. What's my next best way to do this and cheapest if possible?

1965-72 Dodge, Plymouth "A" body, with 10" drums Wheel Kit
is the most affordable route to SPB front disc brakes. Since that ( and most others ) retain and rely on the OEM hubs and spindles, 4 new bearings and 2 seals should ad to the total cost.
They do recommend longer lug studs. The OEM left hand lug studs are difficult enough to find so hunting longer left hand studs is probably a wasted effort.
If you'll switch to longer right hand studs on both fronts, 5 more OEM right hand studs at left rear gets right hand all the way around. Just another small addition to the total.

I have the scarebird kit $350 all in if you shop around for parts. I have been running them for quite a while and i love them.
 
Stainless Steel Brakes sells a drum to disc conversion for the SBP. They use the KH OEM style 4 piston caliper. 4 Piston Front Kits


That is the SSBC kit. I put that on the front of mine but it will only fit 10 inch drum brakes. The rotors have the option of either SBP or BBP. Easy to install and look OEM with the KH parts. I am very satisfied with mine.
 
Maybe where you are but up here there's none I've found.
Nah, there's some yards around that area. You may have to drive out into the country side to find some, Muncie is only 60-90 minutes from me and I know there's a yard north of shelbyville that has a few a bodies

Muncie has none. A couple of old chryslers. They are expensive and picky about parts on em. I'm sticking with sbp cause i,like the rallys that's on it. Rather have cop wheels but don't have the cash to buy rear end, tires wheels bbp discs etc.
 
I'd like to go to cop wheels,rings,and caps,but can't afford to. I'm swapping the rear. Mosier supplies sbp alloy axles.

What are you swapping the rear too?

Dunno, I have a 9" ford and a Dana 60. Both will need to be narrowed, 800 to 1000 at Mosier. There an hour from me and they did a couple of rears for me. Cost is the same from them, bbp or small. It's the cost of everything else. Thanks for the offer to tag along.

I have the dodge 14" rallys on it now. They may not clear either. Thanks.

FYI, doing the factory swap will also widen it. The factory disc were about an inch wider or so track width over the drums

I've actually never done the disc conversion before. I'm a pretty good mechanic though. My last 68 cuda, I just ran drums all around with a 440 and NOS,stopped fine... That was 30 years ago. Knew I could count on this site for good info.
