I have a 73 scamp with a 360..i replaced everything on this car. the problem is I start it up it will run for about a second or two, then it will cut out. I had my wife crank the car to see if I'm getting fuel ( I am ) I'm thinking it might be something else...any ideas ?

It could be any number of things. You have to go through and eliminate each possibility one by one. There are no real short cuts.

You mention that it runs for a second or two. Does it actually run or does it cut out the second the key is let go and moves from start to run?

Check to make sure you have less than 12volts, maybe 4-6 volts, on the + post of the coil with engine off but the key in the run position, not in start position.

You mention you replaced everything on the car, be a little more specific on what was replaced so we know what you might have missed.

I have the car rewired with an American autowire harness....and I have a msd " ready to run" hei ignition system

That helps cause now we know no need for the ballast resistor. Just make sure you have 12 volts at the coil instead of the lower voltage because no ballast resistor. That's also in the run position.

original ignition switch fed 2 separate wires, a blue and a brown. One hot in start, the other hot in run, and most have simply tied these 2 together. Some have reported misfire or backfire as the switch changes from start to the run. I don't know what ignition systems those were or how they cure it.
