I'm Watching the auction and doing some research. My 1965 service manual shows the Super 225 /6, "valve lift" is .375 for the intake and .360 for the exhaust. Is this spec. referring to "cam lift?" Another site I was looking at said the lift was .395 for both intake and exhaust. Also, no where does my manual give the duration specs.

Nope, valve lift is just that, lift at the valves. Slanty cams got progressively bigger over the years, from what I've seen the breakover for Your cam was '66, Your's would've
had the 1st specs, '66 the 2nd, the next step breaks '70/'71...with '71 starting the series with .404"I/.414"E lift through '77.....the best stock Slanty grind.

EDIT; the '71-'77 is advertised as 244deg duration, the '66-'70 232deg, and I'm
not sure about the '65 and down...............

What kind of auction is it you're watching? What are you thinking of bidding on?

When I need an optimal cam for a stock or "stock-ish" pre-1980 Slant, I call up Oregon Cam Grinding and fetch another of their grind № 2106R, that is Doug Dutra's RV10RDP cam. Much nicer than any of the three stock pre-'81 cams, better driveability and response, excellent fuel economy, and without any new problems.
