Anybody running a Tremec A41 4spd Automatic with a 383?
I requested a quote from Silver Sport Transmissions, and curious how much a modern transmission improves performance with a stock 383. I can only imagine it's has to be great, but $4500.00 great...ouch...

The Brazen Charger over on Mopar Connection has an A41. It gives you a 30% overdrive so, at highway speeds, your 4.10 gears cruise along like they're a set of 2.87's.

Looks like it's based on the GM 4L60, good choice and wayyy better than a 46RH/RE or A-518 sorry/not sorry to say. That price seems pretty typical for modern-trans-to-classic-car conversion kits, looks good to me...

Thanks! I'm running 323 gears and need to find out how that fits with an overdrive transmission, thinking 355 may be a better fit, TBD??
You can use a calculator to figure out what your RPM will be at cruising speed. This one has the 30% overdrive calculated into it: Engine RPM Calculator | Spicer Parts

Nice, the 323 seem to be a good fit, 1,872 rpm @ 60 mph, (if I entered it right?). Thanks wish4hemi!
