How about a factory looking cold air for your dual scoop?

nope not mine. I it saw in MM over 10 years ago and always thought it was terribly clever. I always planned to do the same deal on 74 Duster 360 but never did

That would be really cool! Had you given any thought on how to make that happen? I’m very interested in trying it as well. I’ll have a fresh Six Pack style scoop on the car this summer. :)

Sorry, I never really found the right rubber seal that was tall enough and would slip over the edge of the air cleaner base.

I have a dakota air cleaner base, with a thermac setup for cold weather startup. Around 1989 -1991 along with a stock lid that i cut the excess off of so it only covers the outer edge of the filter. I figure i could use this setup with a raised rubber gasket against the bottom of the hood. Wintertime i could use a different full lid that covers it up. All this is just mocked up and collecting dust in the corner of the shop as a possible maybe.

I put a oval air cleaner on my 71 Demon and am putting a duel snorkel on it, I've been looking at ways to make a seal also.

View attachment 1715087022 Here is the measurements I used to install the twin scoops on my 70 duster.
The necessary measurements are scribed onto the hood in the attached image.
They are right on the button.
Do you have the measurement for the actual width of the scoop itself at its widest point (the opening)? Trying to fit it on a 65 dart hood. Thank you

Lots of posts here on whether or not the 73 Sports came with the hood scoop holes from the factory. They did. I bought a 73 340 Sport new in September, 1973. It had the scoop and the holes as delivered to the dealer. I'm now in the process of restoring another 73 340 Sport that also came from the factory with the scoop and the holes already cut. So I know that at least 2 Sports came that way.

I used a 73 dart hood for my sons 69 barracuda. Bought an aftermarket version of a mopar dual scoop. The holes lined up with the access holes in the structure underneath just fine. Used allthread for studs, and got the nuts from lowes in the automotive hardware section.

Ihad to grind on it a bit to make it sit flush on a dart hood. Inlet openings arent as crisp as the oem, so i will grind and fix that later
