A little late due to being snowed in in Vermont.

Up today, decorate it tomorrow night. Although it really isn't sideways.

We're not going to get the usual full size live one this year. We're going to use a small, artificial tree Kitty has. We still have all the furniture in the den, waiting to get the front room's laminate flooring installed. I'm actually going to end up doing it myself. But we'll have a tree, at least.

The older I get, the more I realize there is no shame in an artificial tree!

Just finished ours tonight.
Burgers on the smoker to finish off the night.

That must be nice watching the snow fall through those big windows.
It is indeed. I love to sit by it all decorated and lit when the snow is falling and enjoy the warmth inside framed by the snow fall outside.

Ours up. Dont like saying it, but artificial 3 years now. Sometimes it's easier to just go with it lol

We had real trees for years. They get so dried out and you have to literally rake the needles out of the carpet. I hauled one outside and with the wife watching, I waved a match and it almost exploded into flames. The next year we had artificial tree.

We have had artificial trees for 20 years now. I just don’t see the point in killing a live tree for Christmas enjoyment. Besides, I think it looks great and is easy to set up at our convenience.

No mess, always looks great, no maintenance, and vastly reduced fire risk.

What’s not to like?

Exactly. We have some pine flavored sticks that we hang on the tree to make it smell more real. Not bad. They don't smell like Lysol either. LOL

I dragged it (the prelighted and flocked fake tree) up from the basement on Thanksgiving, but the wife isn’t ready for me to set it up yet. (Reprieve while on a cruise.) The dang thing weighs about 80 pounds. I’m not sure how many more years I’ll have the strength to haul it up again.

Our youngest son, a senior ME student at A&M, really enjoys the tree hunt so we will buy after he gets home next week. He and his now fiance enjoy the decorating. I just sit and sip.

I like the way you work Ed. Cheers!

When y'all getting home?

Planning on picking up a real one for inside tomorrow
(The kids love cutting it down and watching me drag it out)

In the mean time, here is a shot of the artificial tree I put outside (I'll take a pic next time it shows, looks amazing)

Oh Christmas Tree, oh Christmas tree. I still haven't found the angel for the top. I need to put the skirt underneath too.
