Car does about a 1.45 60' 12.5lbs pressure. This photo made me wonder if the hit is a little too hard. What do you think?

I've never run that tire but it looks to me like you might want to try a few more pounds of air. I wouldn’t soften the hit but I would experiment with pressure. That tire is a little too wrinkled IMHO.

I will 2nd, that. MORE air, Please! 16 to 18 maybe, or as much as the track surface will allow.
Does look like a nice launch but, I suspect it could get better.

I think. ....... you need a name for the car to fill in the space between the wheel wells. In a gold metallic, kind of a wavy font. Something like the name "DUSTED" (probably been used by several people already, but still..... needs a name.)

Nice car, btw.

I'd kick the pressure up 5 lbs.
should soften the hit a little.

Was the only way we could get the hemi to come close to hooking up , back in the day. I even ran them down to 6 3/4 pounds at times------------

was out about 2 car lengths here , 16x32`s------------anything above 8 was a joke !

Not sure what suspension you use but it looks like a Super Stock spring car. In those cars hit it good but you do need more air in the rear tires. Baby steps work best and watch your 60 foot times and tire patch if you have a buddy close to the line.

If it ain’t spinning bump it up. I always run as much as I could. I could run 12.5 at Norwalk but had to drop down everywhere else. I remember the last time I ran 9.5 lbs at Norwalk, I got past the grandstands and that wind nailed the car on those under inflated 14x32’s.... wow I was not expecting that. That is when I figured out the max pressure I could run. Helps mph too.

My drag racing expertise is limited. But I just have to say dang that looks good! What does it run?

This is my tire hit with a low HP small block. M/T 14/32, 1.46 60’. Ladder bar suspension. This is at 8lbs.
Thoughts?
