1977, Spectrum in Philadelphia. Heart opened for the Beach Boys.
Apparently my memory of the year is a little fuzzy. It might have been 1981 so that would have been Brian Johnson. This is where I saw them. Was it Bon Scott or Brian Johnson? That was the year Scott O D I think.
I forgot about that. Seen them somewhere around 74? Toy and Troy Caldwell were awesome performers.Marshall Tucker and Atlanta Rythem Section
The Mercer arena 1980
Tragic what happened to that family.I forgot about that. Seen them somewhere around 74? Toy and Troy Caldwell were awesome performers.
Same here a buddy of mine talked me out of going to the Atlanta Pop festival. I believe was the last concert Hendrix played. Like July 70. The second one in Byron Ga.Beach Boys 67/68 somewhere about there. Missed Woodstock because of a friend who said Credence was going to be the only big group playing, and they were coming here soon.. We still don't talk.
Ahhhh I can tell your much younger than most here.First one was around 1988?? It was The Bullet Boys, Winger and, Cinderella.
Last one was 2014 Alice in Chains.
Dicky Betts is some serious talent that just never got recognized.About 1975, The Allman Brothers had a house on Orange Terrace In Macon. I used to ride my bike down there since I already knew Gregg and got to know the rest of them. Dickey Betts showed my my first acoustic slide guitar licks and I just kinda took off from there. Anyhoo, I saw Dickey in the Piggly Wiggly in Macon and he told me to come down that Sunday afternoon, that they were puttin on an impromptu front porch practice session/ concert for the neighborhood. It was pretty cool. There were less than 25 people there I would guess, sittin in their front yard...and some across the street in the little park that used to be there. It was a lot of fun. I was ten.
