Hardly anyone buys volare/aspen parts especially rusted thru fenders. I got a junkyard by my house that's got maybe a dozen of em wagons, sedans, coupes. Usually the only thing missing off em is the engines, and wheels. Maybe a headlight or taillight.
You can use the front end for old P/U conversion.
All the F body cars that come through my local yards get their disk and spindles taken almost immediately.
That was not the case until a few short years ago.
Folks around here must have wised up to the bigblockdart conversion info.

Yep they can rust, and unless a Super Coupe T top F body, better off putting the $$ in a slant 62 Toad!

I wouldent put any money in a toad, but that's just me. I did take reverse light lenses and sockets off one for a barracuda once
Point is, there are lots of Mpars that are not the greatest investment, F bodies and Toads are two! I have a Toad because
the wife loves its "different" looks, but I bought it complete for $600, and sorta like the $ on this F body. Still not a good investment. But most Mopar people, we always argue we are not the owner of said X car because it is just a HOBBY!!! lol
Basically, in general, I can do the body/paint, interior, suspension, tires, exhaust, trim for a 69 340 Barracuda ( or 63 slant Dart) as a 69 Hemi Roadrunner. The only other difference is the cost of the projects..... and cost of engine/trans rebuild, of which is not that many $ difference! But the $ worth of both cars built is quite different! If you pay someone to do ALL that resto work a guy will be upside down in just about any of them!!!

I wouldn't take a T-Top F-Body period, just too hard to get parts for the top. But I would be interested in this one, but partly because I used to own a Super Coupe and regret selling it. Wouldn't look at it as a good investment though, just something to build on and enjoy.
I like the F-Bodies, I think the proportions are good, and I like some of the updates to things like the dash. I dislike the front suspension design, but it works fine. Wish parts were easier to come by.

Come to west texas and get your Fillmore rust free F body stuff. I got a junkyard by me with a bunch of em.
ALL F body pats are dirt cheap except the GRILL! Those are like gold. The F body guys have found ways to re do the T top rubber. To me the body line profile so much looks like the Duster it replaced. Any car built after 71 takes it on the chin $ wise. They are cheap fun cars, most of the guys into them had one when younger or maybe someone in their family.
I could have bought a complete (with busted plastic grill) and plenty rusty like most, 77 Roadrunner 318 T top car last year fr $500, just 10 mi down the road.

I'd love to buy another F-Body. Even more so if it was a Super Coupe, but I have even looked at basic ones as long as it is a 2 door. But I am far from needing another project so haven't done more than toyed with the idea.

Sold the two coupe and traded off the wagon.
F body guys are a great group, they love those cars...BUT they are even cheaper than thevery, very cheapest slant A body guy!!!!! lol And I include myself!!!!
