I posted in body and trim a question about a hood and hood bolts which is about body any trim. Asking not only the technical question about what size they are but also where to find. Stop deleting my posts. I am posting in appropriate places and subject matter. Same goes for my last few posts you deleted and moved.

Interesting question. "Where can I find these bolts new?" I suppose this could be asking if anyone has them (new) or does anyone have a source for these like Legendary? I guess if you posted it in the want ads, someone may pipe in and say "Tony has them on his website". I guess you have to be very careful how you word it to not sound like your asking if anyone has them for sale. Shame.

I generally hate this site. Only a few of you all have ever been any sort of helpful. So thank you to those people.

I asked them and they said that’s what they have listed for both hood to hinge as well as hinge to body but it’s not correct

Also those same they are for gm hoods as well but yes classic said they would work . 3/8 is too small . Bolts that came out were tapered as well as 1/2 I think but I don’t know they2 brine off and two are badly Damages

3/8 ones classic said would 100% work are to small . I’m thinking 1/2 but not sure the thread .but again I can’t find them anywhere

From that same eBay add,

1966 to Early 1970 A B E Body OEM Correct Hood Hinge Fasteners. Includes 6 - 5/16 bolts for the hood hinges to inner fender and 4 - 5/16 inch bolts for the hood to hinges (enough for 1 car). After around January 1970 most hoods use a larger 3/8 inch bolt. We also sell sets with 3/8 inch hood bolts. Same size and head marking (LG and N) as originals. These N Head bolts for the hood have a brass washer (originals did not), but they are painted body color when installed.

That eBay link seems the most like what I need . Thank you . But 3/8 16 bolt is too small . The eBay link doesn’t say what size they are but they do have tapered style to them

Made in USA.

Mine is 1971 duster . I went to Lowe’s and got 3/8 16 and 18 per suggestions and was too small . I’ll be the at eBay set but 5/16 for sure to small and 3/8 is as well

Send me your Address I'll send some to you. I have drawers of different sizes. Pay the shipping after you receive them . The bolts are free I'll send a bunch of different lengths.

All of the A bodies I have seen have 5/16 bolt holes in the hood where the hinge attaches to the hood. My 64 Valiant has them. 1/2 head and 5/16 diameter thread. About 1 inch long. When you say "they're too small" are you talking about the bolt or the hole on the hood?

5/16 bolt is too small for hole . Can just push it in with no threads touching. 3/8 is close to fitting but doesn’t Catch a thread so I’ve been thinking they are 1/2 and some thread that I can’t figure out
