Actually it is a 340 valve cover. I have an original late production 1971 340 car with it's #'s match engine untouched. The early ones had a large tab. Too many Experts here!

I only stated this because I wouldn't want anyone to run into a problem with the wires hitting the throttle linkage. You can clearly see that the cover you have is for 2 bbl linkage or B + E body . All 340's from 70 to 73 a-bodies with three piece linkage had the same cover. There was no such thing as a late 71 cover for a-body cars. They didn't just switch them back for 72 and 73 .
They won't fit a 340 with 3 piece 4 bbl linkage without the wires rubbing
