Saw this on FB. Wondering what people think of this? ‘71 Cuda Fender Gills on a Dodge Dart.

To each his own, but I don't think they match the body lines at all.

It’s his/her car so they can do what they want. Not my style but then not my car.

I don't mind them but they would have looked better if they had been scaled down to stay above the body line on the fender like they do on the 'Cuda's.

Of course then you'd have to make your own inserts too.

It in MY opinion looks like crap. Installed right through a body line no less. Looks EXACTLY like what a chevy guy or car flipper does when he tries to build a mopar.

Gross. The Late-model demon scoop looks like *** too.

If you want Cuda gills, buy a Cuda.

If you want a Demon, buy that.

These Chinese Menu cars with styling from column A, column B, column C always end up in column D, for doodoo.

Blah blah blah blah

Or I can build my car the way I want it and tell the purists to kiss my ***. If you want your car boring and slow, you have at it.

It's all about the execution. On that Dart I think the gills COULD look good, but again they'd have to be scaled down so they fit onto the top of the fender between the lines like they do on a 'Cuda.

I was gonna bet a 20 that the flip top Gas Cap was next...but he posted another pic of Drivers side.

I could live with the gills. What going on with tail end of that thing? I can't imagine the $$$ it would take to finish it. I'll pass.

Make em fit between the body lines or center them on the body line.

All that fab work and it looks sloppy without either of the above.

Clearly I have a Gill bias so my opinion is suspect! yep I love gills, but on his application they are a bit to big. Like so many others have already commented they need to be proportional to body lines, I love the concept tho. Here is pix of the gills on my Cuda but on a fiberglass nose clip! Gotta have em! Hah!

Different strokes for different folks. Open canvas that never got done. I would like to see it finished for good or bad. But yes way over the top for me.Especially the gas crap !!

YES, crossing that body line ruins it.

Also, I think it looks better on a 70-72. Same for a Shaker.

Luckily, it's bolt on parts. Maybe if he'd started with a Duster, his ideas would look better, resembling a mini Cuda.

wouldn't it be a dull and dreary world if all of our cars looked the same... oh wait a minute, most new cars do all look the same...

A 750 HP 500 would tone it down some. lol
The gills and spoilers would be forgotten after it smoked your ***.
I can hear it now, what do you have in that thing. lol
What's under the cover is more important to me.

Gills would work better on a 67-69 Barracuda with no body line on the upper or mid fender. Same for 70-up duster, 71-74 B-body, and 70 B-body

For the '71 B-body I think the Jet-X concept build had it right for the fender treatment
