Well it finally happened I've been feeding stray and feral cats for almost 2 1/2 years now, started with seven and now just two, I took a liking to a pregnant one I called hissy for obvious reasons, she gave birth to one kitten that I know of fast forward about a year and a halve she's purring and letting me pet her and of coarse she turns up pregnant again. The other night I here meowing at my door and there is hissy (now Mabel) and I'm sure y'all know the rest, I'm the proud dad of six little fur balls! I love it!

You need to TNR that girl.

Cute kittens.

Thats happening after the kittens are weaned. Then I hope she decides to stay inside. The other cat is getting fixed to.

The lady that helped us adopt out the litter we had last year said there is actually a demand for kittens now.

SPCA also said that.

That's very hard to believe, but they all got adopted within six weeks.

Great job cat dad. As I told you guys I had to put Propane to sleep last year so I’m down to one Ferral (Hemi) that I brought in around 20 years ago. And two that my son fell out of love with. Well I’ve been feeding Twilight for over a year and a beautiful Tan one but they are still both skiddish and only come by to eat several times a day. Well a single newborn that is getting bigger now (Bandit) hands out at my patio door every night watching us. Still staying a safe distance away. With 3-4 I’m set up to were I can go racing for up to 4 days so I’m fighting off getting to close because I know myself to well

Sadly the one kitten we kept from that litter had to be put down Wednesday.

Feline leukemia.

He went downhill in a couple of days but was purring and padding dough right to the end.

3 months. He was such a cute and super friendly little guy.

We also have his half brother. They were very close and he has kind of been looking for him.

Those ones you have that are reddish- I call "tabico" (part tabby, part calico).

Every one I have ever met has been super sweet, but maybe a little fragile/jealous.

Well you got some nice little gifts until you can get her fixed. They're cute.

Your screen name should be "cat dad"

Where's Wallly?

Of course, there’s a demand for kittens, snake owners are feeding them to the pets.

My GF moved in with her 2 kids a few months back. They brought and indoor cat, he comes out hangs in the garage with me.

I am aware of that.

The lady we work with vets the potential adopters and charges a fee.

Herpetologists are usually reluctant to pay for kittens or other baby animals.

Shame you can't simply give them to people.

This is different. Apparently there is an abundance of people wanting pet cats.

Perhaps all that cat presence on the internet has something to do with it.
Honestly I'm somewhat worried there will be a backlash soon.

Sadly we had to put our newest little guy, Cupid down Wednesday night.

Sunday he was lethargic, only getting off the couch next to me to eat and use the box. 103 fever.
Friendly and purry, though.
Monday was the same, but no fever.
Tuesday he was a little better, but the fever came back. He got up and played some. Tried to call vet but no answer and no returned call.
Wednesday we finally got hold of the vet and after several tests, they found fluid in his abdomen and he had a 105 fever.
Test came beck feline leukemia positive.
No choice, really.
He purred and padded dough right up till the end.

His half brother, Romeo looked around for him a couple of times when we got home and even ran up the cat tree and turned around, expecting Cupid to follow.

Rest in peace my little friend. You had a very short but good run with lots of love both given and received.

Man that hurts. Sorry

I’ve posted this before but this is Propane a Ferral I brought in years ago. They are sometimes abused or dumped off in the country where I live. I feed them and give them shelter and fresh water. Sometimes it takes months which it did then one day he jumped up on me, purred like a machine gun, and fell asleep. From that day till he died in my arms I probably spent 1200-1400.00 on him and he was worth every cent. He and Hemi went in the motorhome racing with me and we gave each other our all for years. When the emergency room told me he was in pain with cancer it wasn’t an easy decision but one that had to be done. We visited for 30 minutes then he quietly went to sleep in my arms. I haven’t cried like that in years.
