I would consider buying a new glass hood now, and hanging the hood that came with the car on the wall instead of hacking it even more and wishing you had bought a new hood to begin with.
It has been in the body shop for several months, they aren't the fastest........It has already been sandblasted.

As I said before there have been several scoops and several different hoods on the car, this just happens to be the last one when it was put away. If the hood was pristine and not like swiss cheese I may feel different about it.

Thanks just looked at their site I would also need to use low tension springs.................back to removing fenders, hood springs. etc.
It's quite the rabbit hole isn't it? But I'd trade places with you in a second, thanks for sharing the build with all of us!

Well the easiest solution is to run the new 770's on the tunnel ram instead of the crossram and keep the hood and scoop combo you already have... :poke:

The hood had a lot of issues, tons of holes everywhere.
Then it will be an improvement all the way around with another hood.

I do hope both you and @replicaracer43 Sean will continue to both give updates. Don't let the negativity of one or two ruin things for this great comeback story.

I hope you didn't see John and my comments as negative! I was expecting a bunch of grief over the tunnel ram comments and actually watched my phone to see if it light up in argument! We are all friends.

Absolutely not!

I have had the hood at the body shop for a while now. The plan was to fill in all the holes and paint it all flat black with the current scoop. However, that is changed, obviously because the snorkel scoop is not wide enough for the crossram. I went over to the body shop this morning and talked to the owner. No sense paying for some thing that I wouldn’t use and I had to pay for it obviously because the process started. I ordered a Glastek Superstock Hemi scoop. We talked and I’m going to have him put the Hemi scoop on the steel hood.

Absolutely I will continue to provide updates as everything happens. Sean will not be posting anything further on this thread or FABO. That is the decision he made and wanted me to let others know

The Hemi scoop will more accurately represent what's under it, so I in no way see how that takes away from the project. lol

Well I sure am sorry. Although @replicaracer43 I do hope you'll just maybe take a break for a bit and return. Don't let the bad guys win.

I`d suggest 4 spreader bars on that scoop, that way the holes can be painted top+bottom and your not drilling after the fact. I`d imagine those huge scoops will catch a ton of air.

Thanks, I was going to have the body shop add those. What do people use for them?
