Hello everyone, just checking in...

Thanks for all of your well wishes about my friend Doug, his wake was a week ago Sunday... I couldn't stand to see him in the casket, he looked terrible, that's not the Doug that I knew... I had to walk away after a minute or two... His son's fiance asked me what was wrong when I walked away and I told her, "That's not how I want to remember him..."

I want to remember him as I knew him, alive and well... Sometimes grumpy... He had the tough exterior that you had to break through to get to the real Doug that was kind and would help you out... When we would tell each other sick humor jokes and try to out do each other...

Then to add insult to injury, the ******* judge let the guy who intentionally ran him over with a car out on home confinement and didn't lock him up... The whole thing was captured on his son's dash cam... If I ever see that judge on a ballot for election, I will vote no for him, even if he is unopposed just to send a message that he's an asshole...

Now the village has a cop stationed outside Doug's house 24 hours keeping an eye on both Doug's house and family and the perp's house and family to make sure they don't interact... The perp lives 8 houses down the block from Doug... They should have thrown the guy in jail... WTF???

Here's the latest update on the article on Doug...

Worth Driver Accused In Fatal Hit-And-Run Ordered To Home Confinement
Was sorry to hear you lost your friend Doug. Recall you mentioning him many times. But this is just insane that the guy is not behind bars. Can only hope there is a method to such madness. Do you think the guy is just a lone a hole? He's obviously arrogant and thinking he got away with something. That usually stems from being part of something bigger and thinking he is somehow protected. Maybe they are looking for him to reveal a next level a hole. Or maybe we have just all gone that deep in a shthole...

First night back to work went OK. No issue with back or arm. My ankle that I banged over a month ago hurt a little wearing work boots. Getting my brain timeclock adjusted. Slept a little later this morning...
Good morning.

No plans today here……..34 feels like 26
I'll try later this afternoon. Low 50's sounds better. I might run the car over to a cruise in. The first this year. Once a month on the second Tuesday. In the summer they get 150+ cars. It's a 20 min drive down the 4 lane. Haircut at 1:30

Supposed to be back in the 50’s tomorrow here. Then 40’s again for 3 days. The next few days I need to start pulling stuff off the car to be ready to adjust the valve lash when the guy comes over Saturday.

Dang, it's a bit chilly outside with no gloves on. 33° here.
Just had the pup out. Mid 30's and bright sun, but windy. Saying 20-25mph most of the day. Hopefully cold enough to slow the grass down cause I ain't mowing at 'feels like 26F' :BangHead: At least what I planted has mostly sprouted when we had the warmer days. This area has been bare dirt for months between the dog and the wash from downspout. Boards and bricks diverted water and been chasing Holley past it before she squats. LOL. I do need to put more seed on where some didn't come up/ washed away. Might push mow around the edges and add seed tomorrow. Should be a little warmer and a lot calmer.

I used rhie grass seed here on the hill first thing where the mail box is and around the house and near the empty lot was around the shop, it germinate and grows VERY fast almost with in 2 ta 3 days, then sow it with Bermuda seed after the fist seeds get about 6 inches tall (7 days) it hold the seeds in place so it don't blow or wash away, works great here in northeast Arkansas, I learned this from a friend that works for the hwy department, that's what they do.

I am being hired to go to a friend of a friend's house, he has a 65 more door dart, 273 car automatic, its in a shed about 40 miles to the west and wants me to check over everything and see if I think it will start and drive on a trailer, it was in a will along with 4 to 5 other cars his great uncle had.. the Dart was running and driving in 2020. I have the old dizzy I replaced with a dizzy Hoppy set up for me and all the ignition parts, 2 gallons of fuel, trouble light, cord, 4 quarts of trans fluid, 4 new tires on my old 13 inch sbp rims, ignition switch, floor jack and stands and back support belt... loaded and ready in my truck.. I need to stop and buy 4 quarts of rotella 30wt.. the guy is an ex ray tec.. Hopefully see more mopars out there or at least something I like and do some trading

160 acures (ok, so I can't spell) no one will be there so the 9mm and holster will be strapped on. Key to the gate will be in my mail box at 1pm today.
Lets get this day started!! I guess I am just one of very few old mopar men near by.

Nothing grows quite that fast here. I usually get blends that have both the fast growing (usually rye) and slower perennial seeds. In warmer temps, most will start to cover in 7 days till the better grasses can fill in. Not sure exactly what these were.
