That looks to me to be the chinese carbs.... Advertisers will use "brand names" in the heading, but read and look, they are not.

Well, it's either a chinese copy, or a factory refurbished brawler. Someone asked recently about a refurbished 750 seen for $227. I don't remember if it was here or A-bodies.
I'd be happier with a refurbished brawler than a chinese copy.
My 850 race brawler was a little more than $600, but came with a new drop base aircleaner, and a fuel line/pressure gauge combo. (Speedway).
Speedway is asking over $100 for the fuel line and gauge.

It is funny. I see chi-nesium carburetors on line everywhere. Especially for small engines like lawn mowers and weed wackers etc. they work good for a bit then crap out. Reviews on line show the Holley copies and the Carter copies show 50/50 if it is good or not.

Long term- not so much. It stinks how much new carburetors cost now. You wonder why technology should make things cheaper not more expensive. It’s not like anyone has “re-invented” the carburetor in the last 75 years. Wish I had a good one to send your way.

I also have a refurbished from the factory quick fuel Slayer 750 VS thing was brand new as far as I could tell. I think some people get these carbs and they're just too big or they stick them on a car with a problem and blame the carb. But whatever I would not hesitate to get another one from Holley.

A few years ago I bought a used genuine Holley 850DP(4781) to add to my dyno carb stash for $250.
It was from a customers car who went EFI.

Never say never, but a new brawler 850 for $250 doesn’t sound 100% legit.

Also remember that Holley- pays for tracks, advertising and all those wonderful LS days, Power tour and etc.
That’s all built into the price of a carb.

I wonder if the factories in Chyna actually make the parts for Holley and are selling by making one for Holley and one for eBay type deal or they just bought one and copied it directly. I cannot imagine Holley does not have patents and copy right infringements in place. Sorry OP- don’t mean to steal your post.

Only one carb is available ..an 850, but it has mechanical secondaries for $425. I'll keep looking in on them. Now that I see them as knock off's, I don't want one to save a few bucks.

Holleys patients expired.
That why and how everybody and his brother are making holley copies....even edelbrock.

There's about twenty pages of holley refurbished carbs at the site above, of all types and descriptions
I found an 850 dp for $303, on page two or three.

^^^^ Yeah, 3 pages, and only 2 carbs available right now.
Yes

You might not see any updates for days , even weeks , then you click on a Wednesday or Friday and you might have three or fifteen refurbished available - It really is very sporadic, and of course it’s usually not the carb you want . When they do list , they sell fast , really fast . And then of course end up on EBay or another secondary sight with the usual mark up . You almost have to check daily

I for one do not want the crown on my small blocks head to be known Chinese carb (gross!) yes you never know where stuff's coming from these days but at least it's an American company and you can hope for the best.
