Hey all, I'm wanting to get some options for seats that I could look into in the future, since the seats that the previous owner put in are some generic stuff that leaves a lot of space open, doesn't look right, and sits too high.

I've got a 65 Dart GT Convertible, and like I mentioned, it has aftermarket universal seats that are junk. I've not been able to find any good source of actual seats anywhere online, just the covers, foam, and other parts. If there is somewhere that sells an entire seat assembly that'd be great, but I need both front buckets and a rear bench.

Right now in my area there is a 65 GT non-convertible for sale that has seats I could live with. The right color, style is a bit off but at some point I could just get new covers. Before I ask them if they'd be willing to sell me just the seats and not the whole vehicle, are there fitment issues between the non-convertible and convertible seat models? I assume that the front buckets are the same, but the rear seat is where I'd expect an issue..

If anyone has any experience with that I'd appreciate it. Or any good source for getting whole new seats. Thanks.

67-69 the rear seat is narrower to fit the wider armrest for the top mechanism. Style wise it looks the same

I see, so I wouldn't be able to fit a non-convertible rear seat into my convertible. That's unfortunate, there is a junkyard near me with some beat up standard seats, perhaps I can modify them to fit better and then just get them re-upholstered.

That's been my plan for my 67 convert rear seat.

The back is not bad but the bottom is only 1/4 of a frame.

I have picked up several seat bottoms to repurpose parts of to make a functional seat bottom

I know 65 and older bucket seats are different than 66 bucket seats but I have an ad for 66-67 bucket seat frames.

63-66 rears (valiants or darts) are weird for the convertibles, valiants don't fit in the darts since they don't go down into the well like the darts with he longer wheel base . ME I went with 1996 sebring seats (and seatbelt controller) with minor mods since I wanted power seats and seat belts, I did have to build a tunnel hump pan for the rear seat and trim the back rear top sides by the panels about 1/2 inch, (from the armrests up) to help clear the top frame where it rubbed a bit going up or down, bu t it's MUCH more comfortable than the old seats
