Where do these bolts go?

The car is assembled and I've got these leftover. They are 5/16" bolts with points (not a regular body bolt) and 1 1/2" washers. Where were they supposed to go?

Almost look like hood bolts.

I think they came with a fender bolt kit…not sure (70 Dart)

i'm going to guess horn bracket. because there's only two.

ETA: if the washers are toof'd on the b-side they're fer-chure horn attachment.

those go on the very bottom of the front fenders right behind the wheels.

No toofs (darn autocorrect)

I wondered that. None of the cars I looked at had them not that they were necessarily correct.

That's kinda what I'm thinkin, too- splash shields. IIRC, each had a 5/16 and a handful of smaller machine screws (#10s?), all with oversized fender washers.

They are 5/16" but not dog point. They have pointed ends

i didn't think so, but then again i'm more savvy on the 69 and down stuff.

what size is the bolt head?

i'll see if i can match it up to some of the stuff that i've got labeled here.

1/2". At this point I'm wondering if these bolts aren't for this car. I'll toss them into my surplus Mopar hardware bin. Good thing I painted it nice

the point on the end is interesting, and that's kinda what's throwing me.

well, they'll look good poked into the peg board about the work bench at least!

The washers are somewhat by definition fender washers...not that that style of washer is not used to hold other panels on.

I don't know if I've ever seen a bolt with a pointed end used in a period Mopar. Seems more a GM thing.

I assume they aren’t Mopar. I think I got them with a fender bolt kit but I’m not sure.
