    I stumbled on your article #18 , Dec 29 news letter on bigblock a body tech which finally describes in words what I am trying to correct in my 408 . I run a 6 pack with big valve factory iron heads, MP 509/ 292 flat tappet, tti step headers , electronic MP ignition. would like to discuss further, can you help?

    I need dry air, from disconnecting my PCV hose . First adjusting the linkage on the OB carbs to let some air thru at idle. Also I have done some research in drilling the throttle plates starting with the center carb. If I can get the engine to idle with the center carbs' T-plates closed I think I could fine tune the mixture using the wideband Appreciate your comments. Timing : 17 at 1400 rpm

    Hi, listen I really appreciate your replies to my question in the cam thread. Although I'm not new to wrenching I am new to numbers and understanding how everything works.

    But your reccomending I start with a 2800 torque converter, correct?

    If the 3.21s are staying, then I wouldn't start with anything less.
    Here's how it works;
    Your crank instantaneous torque, gets multiplied be the trans ratio, and the rear end ratio, and the hydraulic ratio inside the TC. If that number is small, then you get no tirespin/no tire chirp. If that number is huge, for a streeter, then you just have to upshift right away.

    Over 7000 times King Jimmy obscured the Proper name of YHWH as Lord. No I didn't count ,lol. "God" has a name, And He wants us to use it. His name is in the Son's name. God says so. If you know the Son's name, you can know the Father's name. King Jimmy can't hide it forever.

    Thx for the invite,buts God says He will mark His Sheep on the forehead. I believe that mark is internal, and has to do with keeping God's Sabbath, or as in my case desperately trying to.There is a promise in the Bible that the marked ones will escape the plagues coming upon the Earth. Maybe you are my escape, so I'll look up your address and memorize it,lol.

    Thank you for all the info! On another note If I do find some magnum heads and pull the 318 out and rebuild it would you stroke it or just over bore it and bump the comp. also what Pistons would you run and if I do go iron magnum heads what else has to change thanks again

    Looks like I missed your post here. Hope you didn't think I was blowing you off, I just alwas forget to check this in-box. Have you figured it out on your own?
    If I go w/ speed pro h405p or cp pistons it doesn't even bring the compression up to 9.0 to 1. I was guessing 9.4 static might be okay for pump gas & don't know what range the gaskets or deck SHOULD be at to get me close. THANK YOU!!
    Dear AJ, UR inbox full. Question for my 360 build: Speed Pro H116 pistons, XX596 318/360 heads w/ 65.5-66cc open iron combustion chambers, & the crane 693901 camshaft that U condemed on 318willrun's 360 build. U said that it will bleed the DCR so if these pistons/heads give me 9.7 - 9.8 compression-will this cam bleed off the DCR enough for pump gasoline?

    Hi AJ, I hope you can help me understand what I'm dealing with.
    I've got a Hemi 265 straight 6 from Australia, EFI setup, turbo, about 500hp. The cam is very streetable. Rear will be 3.54

    NOW...I got a 4 speed box from the USA but it looks like a 3.09 input and cluster.

    The car will be a tough daily drive
    any ideas?

    This is the 1976+ A833 over drive trans
    1st 3.06, 2nd 1.66, 3rd 1 to 1, 4rth .73 (weak-can't push this is on the secondary shaft)
