Refresh my memory what did the truck run the last time out.
It's last, and only full 1/4 mile run was 13.08. 8.2's in the 1/8 mile. All my cars that went to the track had the same theme....Refresh my memory what did the truck run the last time out.
Long term, think fiberglass, and aluminum brackets. My vision is somewhat of that of a '71-72 Dart front bumper. Thin. I'm not sure if I can make it happen but I'm gonna try.
who knows where this will all end up. (Give it mercy and part it out?? WAIT! No good parts to part out!). Right now, we are trying to keep (mostly keep?) the theme of "original old farm truck". Literally, it's where it came fromLong term, think fiberglass, and aluminum brackets.
Short term, garage shelf works.
I don't exactly remember, it's been a bit. Most likely, just picked the RPM's up off idle hoping not to blow the tires loose. I did go back and look, and it's best 60 ft was a 1.82. Best 1/8 was a 8.23.what rpm do you launch at?
automatic on the column, yes open lugs, it's had the MT ET streetsBack watching your videos on it just now. Sounds good man! Is that an automatic column shift? Are there open lug nuts under them dog dish caps? Did it sport the slicks 3 years ago?
12's are so close, a last minute fart, a tail wind or good air will get it there. It's last, and only full 1/4 mile run was 13.08. 8.2's in the 1/8 mile. All my cars that went to the track had the same theme....
"Less slow is the Goal" LOL
LOL.... I'm weird. I don't want any favors from the wind/weather. If I ran a 12.98 with a tail wind, is it really a 12 second truck???? ?? ?12's are so close, a last minute fart, a tail wind or good air will get it there.
I have faith in you to not have to rely on the above. lol
It goes both ways, is it really not a 12 sec truck because you ran into a 20mph head wind. lolLOL.... I'm weird. I don't want any favors from the wind/weather. If I ran a 12.98 with a tail wind, is it really a 12 second truck???? ?? ?
Be your own judge... LOLInteresting. I have all of that stuff here also. If yours looks good I may copy you. I know Kindig uses the thin 67-69 Camaro bumpers on c10s and they look incredible.

I think the rust shows that's not a problem LOLHave you scraped the undercoating yet.![]()
valance may help with air flow. Air cleaner is the regular 14" open that you'd find on just about every Holley...I like it also. A lower valance may help the looks but is there any way you could use that to go faster? Does the engine have a dual snorkel air cleaner? How about a ram air ala Olds 442? You have room under the bumper, it won't be sucking dirt in right of the road. Has to be a good pressure area with that flat front end. Just a thought.
yep. A ram air set up will pretty much always help. If not ram air, then even fresh air. It's why all new car have (and have been for years) an air tube/box that's grabbing "fresh" air instead of under the hood air.remember the way air was directed into carbs for the Pro/Stock trucks?
