Scammer Alert: calebgrandpa56

I had a feeling he wasn't a scammer due to him being part of the community and welcoming people. But I just haven't heard from him and I 99% sure I got scammed.
Like I said to you in the DM, I've never seen a newbie come in a made all of his posts in just about every other thread that other newbies made in the WW....maybe he is the one strange bird that does stuff like that but even at that, the strange birds are the ones that make my ears stand up.

Sounds good. Trying to dispute the charge. Hopefully my bank will understand

With Zelle there is pretty much zero recourse. Money that is sent that way is gone. There’s even a lawsuit against several banks because of that with Zelle, not sure if there’s been any resolution. It’s basically a wire transfer though, so the moment that money leaves your account it’s gone.

Someone wanting to use Zelle and nothing else for a sales transaction would be a red-flag for me.

Says he was logged on this afternoon. Scammers suck I got a set of bucket seats on here paid way to much for that are rusty scrap. Lesson learned myself.

Zelle has no buyer protection. There's your red flag but you did it anyway. That wasn't smart.

Hey Man, I didn't scam you. My email was hacked and it was used to access this forum. That's not my email. I'm not a scumbag.

How does this prove he scammed you? I'm not saying he didn't, but all this proves is he made you an offer on what you needed.
I emailed him then had a long string of emails back and fourth with photos, price, shipment, and such. He said he would give me a FedEx tracking number after the money was received (24 hours). 24 hours after the money was sent, he proceeded to ignore me and I haven't heard from him since Thursday afternoon. There is no way someone hacked his email and then went on to hack his FABO account. Thieves are too lazy to go through all that.

Not like a scammer to return and defend himself... just sayin.

My son had his crazy ex guess his email password, from there everything else was a "forgot your password" click away. It was a nightmare. Doesn't take much.

Lots of ways to explain this away but it would be a huge step in the right direction for the OP to slow down, and the "seller" to show a tracking number etc to the OP

Oh, and yeah, NEVER use Zelle or CashApp etc for online transactions....

I tend to agree his story is shaky at best. But he has responded. A lot of people don't. As long as he is responding, there's a chance to get it worked out. I'd just tell him to give you a refund at this point. If he doesn't, then we'll all know. ......and all on this forum is over 60K members.

Yeah, kinda what I was sayin. I wanna see this play out.

I even direct messaged him yesterday on FABO and he didn't respond. Don't you think he would have messaged me back to sort it out as opposed to defending himself in a thread?

I would think so. But some people are thick like that. I think you did that right thing calling him out. But you did call him out and he answered. So let's see what happens. Like I said, if he doesn't resolve it, there's over 60K members here that will know about it. If he figures his reputation ain't worth but a couple hundred, then he deserves whatever he gets.

If he got hacked, how do you know it was him logged in yesterday?

As far as heading here first, If I was legit, and saw this thread and how it started out, I'd fricking pissed off. Defending myself would probably be the first step as potentially defamatory as this started out as.

Cool Scamp, btw. I wish I had some parts to help you out.
