30-day countdown to 12's

I actually got this ready in 15 days. Although that may not seem like a lot of stuff to get done, you’ll never know how busy I was in my personal life. Exactly why I created this thread, so I would be forced to report every day and try to show some sort of progress to myself. I really appreciate those who had fun with me, especially TT 5.9Mag for pushing in my corner on every post, and every time I responded, it brought me back to the thread, which absolutely kept my hands to the fire. Now it’s out of my hands. It’s up to the weather and if the truck will hook. 12s, here we come!

And here is the tally of the list:
  • Driveshaft loop
  • Intake swap
  • Carb swap
  • Slicks mounted balance and installed on the truck
  • Bumper modification
  • And of course, the start of it all by charging a dead battery,pressure washing and changing oil
  • Oh, we ditched the seat cover lol

I held your feet to the fire because I had to keep motivated on my junk to get read for duct tape drags. I’ll be making passes Saturday with you just a few thousand miles away. You kept me motivated as well.

I do worry just a tad about the slicks getting squirely at the big end .... 29x9's on 7" rim.
 
.... Nothing today, but wasn't planning anything. As of now, the weather is discouraging. Really nothing for rain on Friday or Sunday, but high % chance on Saturday and windy :(
 
Tomorrow is the day.. . . To run 12’s
Weather is against us, but we’re gonna try until they tell us we can’t. Supposed to reach almost 80°, with thunderstorms throughout the day, making it very humid. And of course, windy, which I’m sure will not be in my favor lol. Sometimes if it’s too windy, they make us race eighth mile only, which we’ll have to just do the math from there.

Posted in my D100 thread also but I’m dealing with a leaky accelerator pump. Haven’t made a pass yet. I’m looking for one in the pits now.

And into the 12’s !
The weather gave us a break! Even though for this time of year it was super humid and hot. I didn’t care. We got to race! I was able to get three passes. We had a blast, and a good callout race. I think you’ll enjoy the video. But for now, here is a ET slip! And I’m heading over to post it in the 12 second small block thread! L O L
