"They're a bit moody over at the car forum. I won't mention which one . It recently came to light why you don't see the common sense type of repairs that people do to their cars according to their cars value. The reason things are pushed to the For Sale section is that if you are a Gold member ( paying ) you can bump your ad every 3 days. If youaren't one you can't . They will not moderate against harassing a member that doesn't do things in their way. Very hard to navigate and participate if you don't keep on your mind what you think they want you to do. Some old-timers there have been conditioned over the years and just play along ."

It's jerk offs like this that alienate GOOD members who end up leaving the forum. I was saying to a buddy just the other day that I probably would've left the hobby if it weren't for this forum and all the wonderful help I've gotten here. I'm a newbie, and the fact that anyone could access so much wisdom by the click of a mouse is invaluable.

there are studies that link drug use in younger people leading to stunted brain growth. basically, the age you start doing drugs is the age you wind up getting stuck at developmentally.

i'm guessing it's something along these lines because of the speech patterns and how he continually circles back to the same phrasing-- which is coded therapy talk.

using psychology terms like "backward thinkers", "lost in a trap", "not open minded" along with constant misuse of "credibility, incapable, comprehending" is a text book tactic used to manipulate or oversimplify complex issues. add that to ceaseless moving of goal posts, deflection and pointed turns to ad hominem attacks and it paints a pretty clear picture of somebody that's one taco short of a combination plate.

i'm not a psychologist, nor have i played one on film or in television. i am but three raccoons in a trench coat, but i would say that would land you squarely in "questionable" territory.

He seemed like he was a reasonable Jury Rigger when I first started paying attention to another thread he did.
But he continues to say more objectionable things and page after page of them. Didn't bother to read every page on this thread & had skipped to where members were piling on again before he proved to me he's one to ignore/block.
I'd bet he'll come back w/another screen name, if he is computer savvy enough. Not sure if you can get banned from facebook?

Small stiffeners glassed in where needed may not be as objectionable. Could just do it w/ glass instead.
I fixed a cracked plastic motorcycle fairing w/ epoxy & a small riveted plate one time. Saved the paint & it paid well & didn't come back.
