What type of fender wall headers for a 72 duster running a stroke 440 with raised port Eldabrock Victor max wedge heads. I have some tti 2 inch headers I was going to use but I think I want to go an easier route than using them as the fit is very tight.

Hedman is what works

New fenderwell headers are gonna be REAL hard to find.
I'd start by checking with Hooker. Since your gonna have to cut a chunk out of the inner fenders anyway, I don't think the raised exhausts is a factor. But try to find a set specific to a 440. I honestly don't think you'll find such. I think theyll be generic for a bbm, if you can find any at all.

Last set of new Hooker fw headers i saw were over $1000.

The other unfortunate part of going to fender well headers... especially hookers is your going to choke about 30 HP just from lowering peak torque rpm.
That happened with my engine

Hooker 5215 $1300 coated, $900 uncoated.
2"x43", 3 1/2 collector. Looks like best price at CSP, in stock.

Those LOOONG primary pipe lengths is what MM is talking about.

Thanks I’ll give them a call.

You are better off with the TTI chassis header than any fenderwell header unless you build them yourself.

To me I can’t stand cutting inner fenders out. And the power loss.

I know what you mean about cutting up the fenderwell. I’m on the fence about it. I’ll be making my decision here after I get the motor back from the dyno here in a few weeks.

Another option if you're not aware or their still available, pro-parts.
You'll still need to cut the inner fenderwells, I think Bob Mazzoilli makes them

You will grow to detest the fenderwell headers, with reduced turning radius unless the torsion bars are turned up. Ask me how I know.

Well I’ll throw this out there….. you could always haul your car to Kingman Az. Greg at REF Unlimited is an absolute artist! Pipes would be made according to your dyno #s and will FIT! I didn’t have much choice with my W8 deal. Made the appt. He rounded up the flanges. Dropped the car off at 7am. Bummed around town. Got the call at 2pm….. “cars done”. I also had him modify my Hedman headers to give more room around the engine for our other mill at a later date.
He made our W8 the same style as our Hedmans with the rear two cylinders going through the fender well.

These were headman‘s that I gave away about a year and a half ago. Personally, I think you destroy the structural integrity of the engine bay by the butchering necessary to get these to fit. Just my two cents worth.

Correct, in this case you didn't tie anything bars to your upper shock mounts, forward to the frame up by the strut rods and to the body.
Having none of that will eventually bend stuff.
It should have bars like this

If you tear the fender wells completely out you'll certainly need J tubes or similar. A lot of unnecessary rip and tear in that post 15 picture to use FWs.
IDK if Hookers work with those heads.
Here's the cutout for Hooker FWs..........

You'll likely also need to remove/mod braces from the frame out to the rockers for the collector clearance.

For the street they sit lower making trailering, speed bumps, and such obstacles.
