Just a regular day for me here in Vietnam yesterday on your Thanksgiving. Didn't even eat any chicken. Strictly Vietnamese food yesterday. Did go to the gym though. Spent an hour and a half or so there. Drank a few beers smoked a cigar, all is good

Hey hey neighbor! Great of you to crash the party! Are your Daughters crushing the deer or snoozing in the blind? Jodi says high. Grass is still green here? Yours underneath a blanket of snow?
Buddy’s daughter stopped in after checking the “ deer cams” and she’s vibrating. There is a monster back there, huge rubs on some trees. Think i know what my buddy Ron will be doing the next few evenings.

Fun. Got to watch everyone else eat what I cooked all morning. Even my picking soon to be 12 yr old daughter ate a bit from every dish. I meanwhile, only was able to eat the pumpkin pie, only half a slice. So protein shake for me

Thankfully I had plenty of eggs though. I made deviled eggs last night and something didn’t seem quite right, I can’t eat or I’ll throw up still. But it just didn’t seem to mix like they normally do. So at 3 am it hit me, I had just bought a twin pack of mayo at Sam’s club, well I checked, the one I used was rancid and I didn’t notice. So I opened the other new one, perfectly fine. So I tossed 3 dozen eggs out and started new. Much much better.

Then my two oldest girls helped me make home made egg noodles last night that turned out ok. I should have dehydrated them before cooking. Texture would have been better .

Then my youngest gotta try all the yummy stuff for first time

You find this happening more often? Spoiled food, just bought from store? Seems common around here, mostly dairy. One thing, bread going mouldy within a few days. Different brand lasts way longer. That is one thing i really noticed.

Thought I was the only thing going moldy but yea food in the fridge is not lasting long.

So here’s an interesting tid bit.

Baby Boomers and Gen X are both notorious for moving away from self raising or providing their own foods. Especially the later half of the Baby boomers and nearly all Gen X as a whole statistically. But what’s interesting is the millennials in force, especially post 2008 and really kicked into gear post 2020, are moving back to methods of sustaining their own foods in droves. And they’re doing it at what is the peak years of their buying power historically.

Now why is this? Well it’s a topic of my current research topic and I aim to understand why
