I am in the process of taking my 440 out of my Duster and going to rebuild it and I am looking for the DS exhaust manifold that has a curve at the bottom where the flange is that curves around the steering shaft.I have no idea what the number is or what it came off of but if you know what I am talking about, you know what it is. I had one stored in the garage for the last 20 years but it isnt there now as luck would have it. let me know if you know anything about one or have one. Shipping will be to zip 41010. Thanks,Bill

Those are likely 383 manifolds and might not fit a 440 properly (taller deck, wider engine). The proper 440 A-body manifolds run about $3000-5000 a set, if you can find them.

I'd look REALLY hard for the one you had!

My M-code GTS had 383 manifolds on it when I bought it, they fit but are pretty close to the steering column.

Kim,

doesn't the steering column housing have to be shortened a pinch for an A body application?
For the B body manifold, yes. The C body manifold, no. The outlet is further forward on the C body manifold and doesn't interfere with the column. On SOME cars though, the cylinder head face of the manifold needs to be milled so that the manifold is closer to the engine. Something that only mockup will discover. Some drop right in. Don't forget that the steering column can be moved some by loosening the bolts on the retaining plate at the firewall. I've gotten about 3/4" to the driver's side of the car before. When you're talking about manifold clearance, that's a mile.

I think I have this C- Body driver side manifold. Would have to check if op is interested.
